AMA Kids, Jr Titans in finals
MANILA, Philippines – The AMA Jr. Titans, coached by AMA athletic director Mark Herrera, swept the elimination round of the Fr. Martin’s Cup, joining the AMA Kid Titans who also made it to the finals after the completion of eliminations recently.
The Jr Titans finished the elimination round with a 7-0 record, beating San Sebastian, Infant Jesus, Arellano U, San Beda B, Lyceum and PCC.
With the win they gained an automatic semis slot while the AMA Kid Titans will face Xavier school in the championship in the PSBL 12-Under Division.
Both tournaments are organized by basketball NCAA junior champion coach Edmundo “Ato” Badolato.
“We are gaining headway in our sports program from grassroots level and we hope to sustain it all the way to the highest level, the PBA D-League,” said Herrera.
The Titans are supported by team owner Amable Aguiluz V and first-vice president Arnel Hibo.
