Taconing stakes belt vs Fajardo

MANILA, Philippines - A triple main event card dubbed “Boxing Kontra Droga” will be held today at the Flash Grandballroom of the Elorde Sports Center in Sucat Road, Parañaque with World Boxing Council (WBC) No. 1 lightflyweight and Oriental Champion Jonathan Taconing and the Elorde brothers, Juan Martin “Bai” and Juan Miguel “Mig” seeing action.

Taconing will face dangerous Jomar Fajardo with the former’s Oriental Pacific and Boxing Federation (OPBF) belt at stake in the main bout of the card presented by sportsman Johnny Elorde in cooperation with the Rotary Club of Manila 101.

Taconing, who is preparing for a mandatory challenge over current WBC champion Pedro Guevarra of Mexico, is expected to have his hands full with Fajardo who is considered a big test following his two fights with former world champion Francisco Rodriguez that ended in a draw and a controversial loss.
