Checkmate clinics in 5 venues
MANILA, Philippines - The fourth series of the Milo Checkmate Saturdays-only clinics will resume this weekend in five venues in Metro Manila, according to the organizing Metropolitan Chess Club.
The clinics at San Sebastian College-Recoletos Manila grade school will be held from 8 a.m.-11 a.m., while those at Starmall Edsa Shaw 2F event area in Mandaluyong is set from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. The sessions at Alabang Town Center promenade area in Muntinlupa will be held from 2:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. while Maricaban Elem. School in Pasay City will host the clinics from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. and those at the Kinderville Learning Center (KLC) in Retiro is slated from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.).
Courses on tap are beginners, intermediate and advance players. The advance courses are being held only at the KLC venue.
Other weekend chess classes are set also to be conducted in other public schools, including Pilar Village Elem. School and G. Gatchalian Elem. School in Las Piñas; La Huerta Elem. School in Parañaque; Sucat Elem. School in Muntinlupa City; Panghulo Elem. School in Malabon; Mandaluyong Elem. School in Mandaluyong; and three schools in Manila-Lakandula Elem. School; P. Burgos Elem. School and Dr. Jose P. Rizal Elem. School.
