Que flounders with 74

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Angelo Que stumbled at the back with three bogeys, finishing with a four-over 74 and tumbling to a share of 62nd in the third round of the Omega European Masters led by Englishmen Danny Willett and Matthew Fitzpatrick in Crans Montana, Switzerland Saturday.

Que, who made an impressive start at the par-70 layout with a 66 Thursday, recovered from a bogey start and a double-bogey mishap on No. 4 with birdies on the fifth and nine but lost his rhythm and touch at the back, dropping strokes on Nos. 10, 11 and 15 against a slew of pars.

With a 211 aggregate, the Filipino bet fell behind by 13 as Fitzpatrick tied his compatriot at 198 with a sizzling 64. Willett settled for a 71 after a fiery second round 62.

Frenchman Raphael Jacquelin stayed in the hunt at 200 after a 68 while American David Lipsky slowed down with a 69 and lay three shots back at 201.
