Delos Santos, Edangga top Head netfest
MANILA, Philippines - Sharyl Delos Santos and Jarrel Edangga beat their respective rivals to lead all winners in the fourth leg of Globe 17th Head Graphene XT Junior Tennis Satellite Circuit Gen. Santos City leg at the GS City Tennis Court in General Santos City recently.
Delos Santos defeated Kathlenrey Arandia, 6-2, 6-0, to clinch the girls’ 18-and-under crown while Edangga blasted Jeric Delos Santos, 7-5, 1-6, 7-6 (6), to top the boys’ 18-U section.
Arandia whipped Jessica Carcueva, 6-2, 6-2, to pocket the girls’ 16-U plum while Abson John Alejandre walloped Janus Ringuia, 6-2, 6-3, to bag the boys’ 16-U title in the event backed by Chris Sports, Head ATP Tennis Balls, Graphene XT, Toalson, the Philippine Sports Commission and Philta.
In other results, Caryl Bless Guarde beat Angelica Novis, 6-3, 6-2, to snare the girls’ 14-U crown while Ringuia defeated Vince Tugade, 6-4, 6-2, for the boys’ 14-U plum.
