MANILA, Philippines - Philippine Badminton Association Smash Pilipinas pair Peter Gabriel Magnaye and Paul Jefferson Vivas claimed their third straight men’s open doubles title in the eighth Prima Pasta Badminton Open Championship recently at the Powersmash court in Makati.
Vivas and Magnaye, winners of last year’s Swiss Open men’s doubles title in Switzerland, trounced Philip Joper Escueta and Ronel Estanislao, 21-19, 21-9, to pocket their third straight men’s doubles title.
In the women’s doubles open event supported also by Smart and Babolat, Eleanor Christine Inlayo and Alyssa Ysabel Leonardo beat the tandem of Anna Patricia Barredo and Thea Marie Pomar, 21-17, 21-17.

Aries Delos Santos and Aires Amor Montilla of the PBA-Smash Pilipinas bagged the mixed doubles open title by ripping fellow national players Ronel Estanislao and Anna Patricia Barredo, 21-15, 21-17.
Other mixed doubles events champions were John Gregg Paz and Descka Calimlim (Mixed A), Roberto Pineda and Pauline Tan (Mixed B), John Matthew Bernardo and Chanelle Lunod (Mixed C), John Valerio and Nerona Etis (Mixed D) and Fides Bagasbas and Marie Canillo (Mixed E).
