MANILA, Philippines - The PBA D-League Foundation Cup kicks off today with newcomer ATC Liver Marin-San Sebastian College tangling with AMA University while KeraMix colliding with MP Hotel at the Ynares Arena in Pasig City.

Led by Bradwyn Guinto, the ATC Liver Marin side hopes to make an impact right on its first match in the season-ending conference in a stint that also serves as a build-up for the SSC cagers for the coming collegiate season under new coach Rodney Santos.

But the Titans are also out to come with a strong start after ending up 10th in the Aspirants Cup with new recruits Dexter Maiquez, Joseph Terso and Marcy Arellano expected to boost the team’s offensive sock.

Gametime is at 1 p.m. to be followed by the 3 p.m. clash between KeraMix (formerly Racal Motors) and re-tooled MP Hotel.

The core of the Letran Knights also starts their buildup for the NCAA wars as diminutive guard Mark Cruz and Rey Nambatac join forces with holdovers Rene Pacquiao, Hernal Escosio and Jopher Custodio for the MP Warriors, who wound up 12th in the Aspirants’ Cup.

Jiovani Jalalon, meanwhile, links up with KeraMix, which is also raring to prove its worth in the tournament after placing eighth the last time out.

Ten teams are vying in the Foundation Cup with Aspirants’ Cup champion Hapee, runner-up Cagayan Valley, Café France, Cebuana Lhuillier, Jumbo Plastic and Tanduay Light completing the cast.
