FPASGI board bares 5-tiff sked

MANILA, Philippines - Emiliano “Bong” D. Joven has been elected president of the Federation of Philippine Amateur Seniors Golfers, Inc. (FPASGI) and will head its new board of directors for the year.

At the same time, the FPASGI board has approved a five-tournament schedule for the federation’s members beginning with the President’s Cup on March 26 at the Eagle Ridge course in Gen. Trias, Cavite City.

Elected with Joven were Josefino M. Estrevillo, vice-president for internal affairs; Vidal E. Querol, vice-president for external affairs, Raul S. Gonzales, secretary; Manuel Comia, treasurer; Francis Carlos, auditor/assistant secretary and Melito S. Salazar, Jr., Tom C. Trinidad, and Napoleon L. Tan as directors.

Joven will also head the ways and means committee with Salazar as chairman of the membership committee, and Trinidad, chair of tournament and publicity committee.

The other tournaments lined up are set at Veterans GC on April 23, Royal Northwoods for May (date to be announced), Mimosa GC for July and Capitol Hills GC on Aug. 4.
