Pacman billionaire after bout
MANILA, Philippines - The fight contract is labeled as “Classified.”
Other than what’s been written and said, nothing much will be divulged as the biggest and richest fight in boxing history gets underway in May.
There’s a cool cash pot of $250 million, from which Mayweather, who plays the lead role, will get the lion’s share of $120 million.
Pacquiao stands to receive $80 million or roughly P3.5 billion, based on reports. He’ll be a certified billionaire by May.
It’s the biggest paycheck for both Mayweather and Pacquiao, this generation’s biggest names in boxing.
The two boxers will have more to split, at least not on even terms, when all else comes in, especially the pay-per-view money.
But that’s as much as everybody could speculate on, according to Pacquiao’s chief adviser, Mike Koncz.
Because nothing will be made official – unless somebody breaks the code of silence.
