MANILA, Philippines - Seaoil karter Gabriel Tayao Cabrera has signed up as Filipino endorser of R’s Design, a leading Japanese company which designs helmets and race suits. Their wide range of race accessories also makes them a favorite of Asia’s top drivers in various motorsports.
R’s Design is set to release Cabrera’s official 2015 helmet, showcasing a very Filipino theme which was exclusively made for the Philippines’ top karter.
“His achievements, personality and professionalism perfectly suits our brand image. Just like our company, we see Cabrera emerging into one of Asia’s top karters and eventually conquer the world stage soon,” said R’s Design spokesperson Riki Tanioka.
“As a Filipino, I am very happy to have gained the support of a very popular foreign company. Motorsports is an extreme sport and it is important to wear race gear that is both comfortable and durable,” said Cabrera.
Cabrera just came fresh from the Rotax Invitational pre-season race in Malaysia. He was the youngest in the Senior grid and almost became the first Filipino to score a podium win but unfortunately figured in a crash at the finals.
Nevertheless, he is slated to fly back to Malaysia in a few weeks for the 2015 Asia Max Challenge where he will be competing against a full grid of AMC veterans and national champions from different Asian countries.
