Fans to Mayweather: ‘We want Pacquiao!’
MANILA, Philippines – Floyd Mayweather Jr. was in attendance at the Los Angeles Clippers’ NBA game against the Brooklyn Nets at the Staples Center Friday.
The basketball crowd at the venue seized the opportunity to urge the undefeated American boxer to fight Manny Pacquiao in what’s seen to be the biggest match in boxing today.
Veteran scribe Robert Morales, who covers the Clippers and boxing for Press-Telegram Sports, took to Twitter to share how the fans demanded Mayweather to step up and face Pacquiao in a megabuck duel.

Both the Pacquiao and Mayweather camps have been negotiating a deal for a May 2 showdown, but nothing definite has come out of the talks so far. The Filipino icon is giving the Las Vegas-based fighter until the end of the month to agree to the terms of the contract. – Dino Maragay
