Milo Checkmate Chess to stage Pyter kiddies chessfest

MANILA, Philippines - The MCC-Pyter kiddies chess tournament unfolds Sunday with another huge field expected to participate at the Pyter Canteen in Virra Mall, Sucat, Parañaque.

The one-day event, open to boys and girls 14 years old and below, is a seven-round Swiss system tournament with time control of 20 minutes play-to-finish. Hostilities begin at 10 a.m.

At stake is a total purse of P10,000 plus medals and chess magazines for the top 10 finishers. 

Entry fee is P250, inclusive of two meals, one snack and one bottled mineral water. Participants are urged to bring their own sets and clocks.
