Beach volley on at Cantada’s

MANILA, Philippines - Some of the best players on sand gather for topnotch action in the third leg of the Tanduay Light Women’s Beach Volleyball Challenge today at the Cantada Sports Center in Bagumbayan, Taguig.

Eight teams have signed up with stars like Judy Caballejo and Coyah Abanto; Fille Cainglet and Gretchen Ho; Dzi Gervacio and Bea Tan; Wensh Tiu and Roch Sison. The tough field includes two teams from RTU and another from PUP.

The organizers, Edgardo “Tito Boy” and Gerard Cantada, cited the continued generous support of sportsman Lucio “Bong” Tan Jr. Other tournament supporters are MAPECON and Toyota Balintawak.

The women’s beach volleyball event maintains a year-long schedule providing first class competition. There is no entry fee. Participants, officials and guests are treated to complimentary meals the whole day from breakfast to dinner.
