Que eyes strong Dubai Open finish
MANILA, Philippines - Angelo Que hopes to avert another winless campaign in the season about to end with a victory in the inaugural Dubai Open of the Asian Tour slated Dec. 18-21 at The Els Club in Dubai.
Que said he was looking forward to a strong finish in the upcoming event following a banner year which includes a runner-up finish in the Hong Kong Open and joint eighth effort in the CIMB Classic, co-sanctioned with the PGA Tour, in Malaysia.
The Dubai Open, promoted and organized by golf in Dubai, will make its debut on the region’s premier tour which many, including Que, have lauded as a massive development for the Asian Tour. It is the final tournament of the 2014 Asian Tour season.
“I think it’s great that we have a new tournament in Dubai and I’m looking forward to it. I’ve had a great year with some good results and hopefully, I can put my name down as the first winner of the Dubai Open. That would make 2014 truly special,” said Que.
The ace Filipino shotmaker is also keen to end a four-year title drought and land a fourth Asian Tour victory.
