Pacquiao on Marquez remark: Floyd should fight me first

MANILA, Philippines – Manny Pacquiao welcomed his arch-rival Juan Manuel Marquez joining the growing clamor for Floyd Mayweather, Jr. to finally fight him.

Marquez told ESPN Deportes over the weekend that both camps should stop the non-sense talks and get the fight down. The Mexican counter-puncher, who dealt Pacquiao his worst loss in his career but bowed to Mayweather on points, believes though that the undefeated American fighter would prevail.

Pacquiao is growing tired of all these speculative talks about the super fight.

Speaking to Philstar.com after his Kia Sorento ended their playoffs hopes in the PBA with a tough 99-93 loss to the Meralco Bolts, Pacquiao has nothing more to say than just wait for Mayweather's camp to finally agree to a fight.

"Kailangan matuloy muna ang fight na yan. Kasi paano pag-uusapan kung sino ang mananalo kung yung mismong laban, hindi pa nakakasa (The fight should be scheduled first. How can we talk about on who will win if there is no fight in the first place)," Pacquiao said on Marquez’s prediction.

Mayweather continued mocking Pacquiao on social media and the Filipino ring icon has grown tired and shot back with an Instagram post of his own.

A business group from the Middle East has reportedly came up with $110 million as initial fund to make the super fight happen but Mayweather has been silent.

And Pacquiao seems to be losing hope.

"Kailangan muna lumaban siya. Kaso ayaw naman niya. (He needs to fight me first. But the problem is he doesn't want to fight me)," Pacquiao said.
