Benitez hosts Bingo Bonanza badminton
MANILA, Philippines - Rep. Alfredo “Albee” Benitez of Negros Occidental, secretary-general of Smash Pilipinas (Philippine Badminton Association), will host an open ranking badminton tournament called the 2014 Bingo Bonanza Open Badminton Tournament set Dec. 11-14 at the Rizal Memorial Badminton Hall.
A total of P1.5 million cash prize is at stake in five categories – men and women’s singles, men and women’s doubles and the mixed doubles.
“Badminton is a sport that Filipinos can excel in. We in the Philippine Badminton Association have organized several open ranking tournaments this year to select members of the national team,” Benitez said.
