MANILA, Philippines - Tony Lascuña shot a four-under 68 to trail joint leaders SSS Chowrasia and Anirban Lahiri of India by three at the start of the King’s Cup at the Singha Park Khon Kaen Golf Club in Thailand yesterday.
Out to atone for his dismal joint 52nd finish in last week’s Resorts World, Lascuña birdied three of the last nine holes at the back to fire a 35-33 card and join 11 others at ninth place.
The Indian pair shot identical seven-under 65s to post a one-stroke lead over Thais Phiphatphong Naewsuk and Danthai Boonma and Aussie Kalem Richardson, who all carded 66s.
