MACAU -- China's rising star Zou Shiming stayed unbeaten as he survived a nasty cut in pulling off a unanimous decision against an overmatched but gutsy Manny Pacquiao look-alike Kwanpichit Onesongchaigym of Thailand in the main supporting bout of the Clash in Cotai II at The Venetian Macao here on Sunday.
Save for the deep cut he suffered in the eight round, Shiming controlled the fight from the start. He dropped Onesongchaigym four times but the Thai challenger survived and went the distance. The first two knockdown came in the second round, then two more in sixth and final round, respectively, as Shiming scored his sixth straight win since joining the pro ranks.
The Chinese boxer, under the guidance of Pacquiao's chief trainer Freddie Roach, stayed unbeaten with a record of 6-0 (1 KO).
The judges scored the bout all in favor of the former two-time Olympics gold medalist from China, 119-106, 119-106 and 120-103.
Onesongchaigym tasted his first loss dropping to 27-1 win-loss record.
