Mommy D sure of Manny’s victory
MACAU – Mommy Dionisia is confident that her son Manny Pacquiao will emerge victorious on Sunday against undefeated WBO junior welterweight champion Chris Algieri here at Cotai Arena inside The Venetian Macao.
Clad in a red dress and accompanied by her boyfriend Michael Yamson, Dionisia already claimed victory a day before the fight.
“Gustong-gusto ko ang pula [kaya lahat sila mga kasama ko] pinag-red ko. Hindi pa tapos ang laban niyan, naka-victory dress na ako,” Mommy Dionisia said at during the official weigh-in of the Clash in Cotai II featuring the WBO welterweight championship bout between Manny and Algieri.
PacMom asked her countrymen to pray for his son’s victory, which might pave the way for the megabuck showdown with Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
“Lahat tayong mga Pilipino, magdala tayo ng suwerte. Tulong-tulong tayo sa pagdasal para manalo ang ating Pambansang Kamao,” said the 65-year-old mother of the Filipino ring icon.
It will be Mommy Dionisia’s fourth time to watch Pacquiao fight live.
“Wala akong kaba pero ewan ko lang sa actual fight na. Pero huwag nating gamitin ang kaba para hindi maapektuhan si Manny. Dapat strong tayo sabi ng mahal na birhen,” PacMom said.
It will be her first time though to watch with his 38-year-old boyfriend.
“First time niyang (Michael) mapanood si Manny lumaban. Okay kay Manny, nagkita naman sila. Wala naman sila magagawa kasi gustong-gusto ko,” Mommy Dionisia said.
When asked if her son will win via decision or via knockout, PacMom declined to predict.
“Mahirap maniguro. Tingnan na lang natin siguro,” was Mommy Dionisia’s short reply.
