Highlands Cup stakes Piaggio for ace

MANILA, Philippines - A brand new Piaggio APE Passenger from Autohub and a three-night Asian cruise for two from Royal Caribbean will be staked as hole-in-one prizes in the ninth Highlands Ladies Cup firing off Saturday at Tagaytay Midlands Golf and Country Club.

The Piaggio APE and the Caribbean cruise will be up for grabs on Nos. 4 and 17, respectively, in the annual 18-hole tournament that has CATS Motors, Security Bank, Smart Communications, W Group Inc., San Miguel Corp. SMDC, PLDT, SME as Platinum sponsors.

In case no one scores an ace on No. 17, the Asian cruise prize will be raffled off during the awards rites, according to Tagaytay Highlands Ladies Chapter, organizers of the event backed by Gold sponsors Pilipinas Shell and Petron Corp. with Bingo Bonanza, Comworks and SM Prime Holdings making up the Silver sponsors roster.

The other backers are Unilab, Kaiser Health International, Concrete Masters, Burlington Socks, Captain Bum Chil Heo, Regent Travel, Universal Robina Corp., Orocan, Holland Blooms, Francisco Varua, H&E Mfg.
