MANILA, Philippines - As part of its commitment to promote responsible gun ownership, the Association of Firearms and Ammunition Dealers (AFAD) has partnered with the Philippine National Police (PNP) in conducting a caravan that will assist gun owners in renewing their firearms license during the 2014 Defense Sporting and Arms Show (DSAS) slated Nov. 13-16 at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.
According to AFAD president Jethro Dionisio, the organization has been assisting the PNP Firearms and Explosives Division (FED) through the conduct of a caravan to reduce the backlog of firearms license that are due for renewal.
In the past months, the PNP-FED caravan has reached some areas in Metro Manila for the processing of License to Own and Possess Firearms (LTOAPF).
AFAD officials are confident the 2014 DSAS is a perfect venue for the submission of LTOAPF applications as thousands of gun enthusiasts visit the country’s premier gun show.
The four-day event will also feature the latest array of firearms, ammunition and shooting paraphernalia.
