Eagle Ridge hosts member-guest golf

MANILA, Philippines - Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club is all set to host close to 300 two-man teams in the forthcoming 4x4 member-guest tournament that would be played in the club’s four championship courses and spread over two weekends beginning on Nov. 8.

The courses – Faldo, Norman, Aoki and Dye – will each feature a different scoring format suited for its character, ensuring a challenging competition among the participants vying for titles and a chance at the two Toyota Wigos to be given away in the raffle.

“The members’ response is overwhelming.  Everyone is excited with the unique 4x4 setup,” said club general manager Raymond Bunquin of the event sponsored by San Miguel-Purefoods, WG, Toyota Calamba Lagune, Sta. Lucia, ICTSI and LK Golf.

In fact, the 4x4 had already reached the maximum number as early as two weeks ago.  And when Toyota Calamba Laguna came on board, the waiting list immediately increased, according to sports and games chairman Ramil Villanueva.

Villanueva said the 4x4, backed by Interconnect Systems and Megafiber, is Eagle Ridge’s way of thanking the members and friends for all the support for a great year that was highlighted by the Club of the Year award in the Sta. Lucia Golf Tour.

“This will be our legacy to the members,” he added.

Aside from the Toyota Wigos, there are fabulous prizes at stake in the raffle – ranging from high-end gadgets and electronics – while the hole-in-one prizes include complete iron sets and golf carts.

Agre Explorer, Aqua Haus, Arnel Agustin, Boeing, Flying A Int’l., Ford, Golf ‘N Sky, Ju Young Elec., Makita, Mila Comia, FSBI, MT Travel, Pixel Data, PRU Like UK, Robust/ATC, Tae Sung, Telered Tech., Turf-TORO, and Ye-Sung Tech are sponsors.
