Gen Trias rules West Cavite meet

MANILA, Philippines - Team  GenTri of  General Trias Mayor Antonio “Ony” Ferrer renewed its supremacy in the West Cavite Sports Unit 2014 in  Trece Martirez, bagging the overall crown in the Grade School Division for the 14th straight year and the High  School Division for the seventh consecutive year.

Team General Trias collected 137 gold medals to emerge overall champion in the GS Division, while seconnd-ranked Trece Martires City garnered only 36 for second and Coastal town Tanza 26 for third

The High School GenTri garnered 179 golds, followed by Team Tanza (40) and Trece Martires City (20).

“Galing Gentri” Team holds the GS crown since 2001, while its high school was champion since 2008 during the time of Mayor Luis Ferrer IV, now Cavite Sixth District representative.

Team GenTri dominated the events in athletics, basketball, baseball, softball, football, taekwondo, lawn tennis, table tennis, arnis, swimming and volleyball.
