Joey Villar, Nelson Beltran - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – The PBA board, in a meeting Thursday, finalized its Asian reinforcements plan for the third conference, pegging the height limit at 6-foot-3.

“I would like to thank the commissioner and my colleagues in the board for supporting the proposal. We realize this is a game changer. We can expect regional brands to avail of PBA sponsorship packages,” said PBA board chairman Patrick Gregorio, mentioning a deal with the Department of Tourism.

“Even the DOT through its marketing arm Tourism Promotions Board headed by Chicoy Enerio is already finalizing their sponsorship deal with us so they can highlight their ‘Visit Philippines 2015 campaign,’” Gregorio pointed out.

The Asian reinforcements, which will not be mandatory to the teams, will be aside from the regular imports. It was initially tackled in the PBA meeting in Seoul, Korea.
