CKSC stops Angelicum, wrests lead

MANILA, Philippines - Chiang Kai Shek College downed Angelicum, 52-45, to notch its second straight win in the 17-and-Under Competitive Division of the Milo-sponsored, Best Center-organized 17th Women’s Basketball league at the Xavier School gym over the weekend.

Angelicum dropped to joint second with University of Perpetual Help System Dalta, which was routed by St. Bridget School, 54-36.

St. Bridget improved to third place in Group A with its first win in three matches.

In other results, (13-and under), De la Salle-Zobel defeated Miriam College-B, 57-9; Miriam-A swamped PWU-JASMS, 53-7; and St. Paul College-Pasig rapped Assumption Antipolo, 32-7; (17-and-Under Developmental, Group A) PWU walked over PWU-JASMS; and Assumption-Antipolo shocked School of Holy Spirit-Quezon City, 48-29; (Group C) New Era High School smothered St. Theresa’s, 40-18; (Group D) Assumption beat St. Clare Science High School, 25-7; and Kalayaan High School tripped Miriam College, 46-33.

In the 25-and-Under, PWU zapped University of Santo Tomas, 47-38; and University of Rizal System downed Assumption, 43-25.
