Top karters gird for tough grind in super series

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Filipino ace karters gear up for another tight finish as they clash in the fifth leg of the Petron Blaze 100 ROK Cup Karting Super Series at the Clark International Speedway in Clark, Pampanga Sunday.

It will be a question of endurance and strategy as the contenders gun for crucial win and the momentum heading to the final two rounds of the event sanctioned by the Automobile Association Philippines.

A three-way fight looms among Seaoil-DC’s Gabriel Tayao Cabrera, Bobby Domingo of Formula-E Racing and Jacob Ang of Eagle Cement in the ROK Blaze 100 race with leader Cabrera seeking to bounce back from a setback in the Asian Karting tilt.

Cabrera is out to keep his lead in both the ROK Overall Blaze 100 and the ROK Junior Blaze 100 classes with totals of 194 and 200 points, respectively.

But Domingo and Jacob are coming off big wins in the Asian Karting, topping the Formula 125 Open Senior and Junior divisions, respectively.
