Que one adrift with 65

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Angelo Que turned in one of his strongest starts in years – a flawless five-under 65 – that put him just a stroke behind India’s Jyoti Randhawa at the start of the Hong Kong Open at the par-70 Hong Kong Golf Club in Fanling yesterday.

Que, the three-time Asian Tour winner out to end a winless campaign this season, leaned on his hot putter that produced five birdies, including a 40-footer on No. 15, as he posted his first bogey-free round on the Asian Tour this year.

But while Que put himself in early contention, the other Filipino bets floundered with Tony Lascuna matching par and Elmer Salvador in danger of missing the cut with a 76.
