Ferraris, Laforteza top ABC quarterly bowl

MANILA, Philippines - Eugene Ferraris of Crown Pipes stamped his class in Group 1 while Lou Laforteza of Emerald Pipes dominated Group 2 as they led the winners in the Architects Bowling Club’s quarterly championship at E Lanes Center, Ortigas Avenue, San Juan City last week.

Ferraris rolled an eight-game series 1620 to beat Nonoy de Jesus of Philflex Wires and Cables (1548), Romi de Jesus of We Konstruct (1507) and Eugene Panaguiton of Steeltech (1498) in the premier class of the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Laforteza, on the other hand, scored 1490 to defeat Jho Madrinal of Romari Constructions (1410), Bryan Soliven of Matson Builders (1402) and Malou del Rosario of Boysen Paints (1352) for the Group 2 plum.

Meanwhile, the event, backed by DN Steel, E.S. Vidal Builders, Goldbridge Neighborhood Dental, PNS Advanced Steel Technology, Moldex Pipes, Coach Furnitures, Miraga Tradings, Morning Sun, Consnet Builders, Novelle Furnitures, Concrete Ventures, Philflex Cables, American Wires and Cables and Boysen Acrytex/Knoxout/Healthy Homes/Wallguard, resumes at 6 tonight with the holding of No Tap fun games to be followed by third Quarterly Awards night, also at E Lanes.
