Ateneo's Kiefer Ravena bags UAAP 77 MVP plum
MANILA, Philippines – Kiefer Ravena of Ateneo has been named Most Valuable Player of the 77th UAAP men’s basketball tournament.
According to numbers released by the league’s official statistics firm Imperium, Ravena registered a total of 77.64 statistical points (SPs) to top the race for the most prestigious individual award.
The former UAAP Rookie of the Year averaged 21.2 points, 5.9 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game to lead the Blue Eagles to a league-best 11-3 record and the top seeding in the semifinals. The Katipunan-based squad will thus enjoy a twice-to-beat advantage in the Final Four.
La Salle gunner Jeron Teng came in second with 68.21 SPs followed by Mac Belo of FEU with 61.29 SPs.
