MANILA, Philippines – It was an ecstatic afternoon filled with ear-splitting cheers and preppy costumes at the Araneta Coliseum on September 14. The crowd roared like thunder as the much-anticipated UAAP cheerdance competition for Season 77 took place.

From the lively audience, heart stopping stunts of the cheer leaders, stints like the rainbow flag of the University of the Philippines (UP) to the overwhelming verdicts such as University of Santo Tomas's comeback and the National University’s back-to-back win, everything was spectacular. 

For this year's cheerdance battle, National University bagged the first prize for the second time, garnering 677.5 points, while UP got 658 points to become first runner-up. University of Santo Tomas returned to the podium after four years with 625 points.
