Iverson here for Gawad Kalinga in November

MANILA, Philippines - PCWorx is holding sports fund-raisers anew to build houses under the Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation.

Following the successful Run Tahanan,  a fund-raising event last April at the Quezon Memorial Circle, PCWorx will stage this time the “All In” charity basketball event on Nov. 5 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Former NBA Most Valuable Player Allen Iverson will showcase his coaching skills alongside fellow NBA stars Gilbert Arenas and Eddie Curry during the fund-raiser, which will  benefit Gawad Kalinga.

A local selection from the PBA, UAAP and NCAA will be playing against the Ball Up Streetball All-Stars, which Iverson will be coaching.

Organized by i-Kurot Co. Inc., the marketing arm and subsidiary of PCWorx, the event aims to construct 44 houses – equivalent to two communities – at the Gawad Kalinga Bulaklakan Chapter in Barangay Holy Spirit in Quezon City.

“PcWorx has been helping Gawad Kalinga  through the GK-Aral program wherein volunteer employees teach free classes in Microsoft Office basics. This is to give the students better employment opportunities in the business environment,” said PCWorx director Michael Angelo Chua.
