Solar, BTV hold live viewing for Gilas,Team USA games

MANILA, Philippines - Solar Sports and its sister channel, Basketball TV (BTV) will be holding live viewing parties for Gilas Pilipinas games in the FIBA World Cup beginning with the Nationals face-off with European stalwart Team Croatia. The event will be held at The Greenfield District in Mandaluyong starting at 6:30 tonight.

Solar Sports and Basketball TV have the rights to the live airing of the 2014 FIBA World Cup games in Spain starting tonight up to Sept. 15.

Solar Sports is holding the live viewing event series of Gilas Pilipinas, plus one of Team USA, in an effort to make the action accessible to the most number of Filipino fans. Admission is free and open to the public.

Subsequent live viewing parties will be held on Monday at 11 p.m. at Outback Restaurant in Glorietta 4 in a game against world No. 3 Argentina.

On Sept. 2, the live viewing will be that of Team USA against New Zealand, at 11:30 p.m. in Skippy’s Restaurant in the Fort, Bonifacio Global Center. On Sept. 3, the Gilas Pilipinas versus Puerto Rico game will be aired in NBA Café Manila in SM Aura at 7:30 p.m., and on Sept. 4, the live viewing will be that of Gilas Pilipinas against Senegal, in Skinny Mike’s Sports Bar in the Fort, at 8 p.m.

In addition to the live airing of the basketball matches, fans attending the games will have the chance to win prizes courtesy of Solar Sports and Basketball TV, working with partners Slam Philippines and Peak.
