The Gilas Pilipinas dished out an inspired performance to finally snap a five-game losing streak, a good momentum heading into their final tuneup against Dominican Republic, just four days before the FIBA World Cup tips off on Saturday.
Gilas coach Chot Reyes and the whole team were thrilled to see Manila-esque crowd in Spain, which they hope will spill over in Seville where they will be looking for at least two wins to advance to the Round of 16.
Gilas actually enjoyed good crowd in all their games abroad as overseas Filipino workers and migrants came out to show the Phl’s unbridled passion for basketball that even foreigners can't help but to admire.
