San Beda gets lion’s share in NCAA swimming meet

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - San Beda extended its dynasty in the men’s and women’s division to another year even as La Salle-Greenhills continued its dominance of the junior section at the conclusion of the 90th NCAA swimming competition at the Rizal Memorial Pool over the weekend.

The Sea Lions were a cut above the rest by amassing 1350.5 points, way above the second-placed College of St. Benilde’s 684.5 while the Sea Lionesses were as merciless in the distaff side by finishing with 1161 points, miles ahead of St. Benilde’s 816.5.

The Greenies, in contrast, needed a final day gold medal deluge to overtake the Sea Cubs for the juniors title with 1038.5 as against the latter’s 887.
