NU eyes 3rd beach volley title

MANILA, Philippines - Adamson University seeks to repeat as women’s champion while National University (NU) goes for a third-straight men’s crown as beach volleyball action in UAAP Season 77 starts tomorrow at the UE Caloocan sand court.

The winningest team in the league with three crowns, the Lady Falcons will have two games on opening day – against Ateneo at 9:30 a.m. and NU at noon.

The Bulldogs will also play twice tomorrow, facing Adamson at 11:30 a.m. and Far Eastern University at 1 p.m.

Marleen Cortel will take over the spot vacated by Sheila Pineda. She will be paired with power-spiking Amanda Villanueva for the Lady Falcons, who are facing a tough opposition in their title-retention campaign.
