Superal earns spot in US Women’s Am
MANILA, Philippines - Princess Superal matched par-71 to finish tied for second in the US Women’s Amateur Qualifier and nail a berth in the tournament proper set in August in New York.

She tied Sierra Sims of Texas and California’s Lauren Stephenson for second, one stroke behind low medalist Carly Goldstein of Florida in the 18-hole elims, one of a series of qualifiers for the US’ biggest ladies amateur tournament.
The US Women’s Amateur is set Aug. 4-10 at the Nassau Country Club in Glen Cove, New York.
The top ICTSI-backed bet also clinched a spot in the US Giris Juniors Championship after topping the recent qualifier in Missouri recently. The US Girls will be played July 21-26 in Far Hills, New Jersey.
The reigning SEA Games individual gold medalist, who also ruled the Kuala Lumpur and Royal Selangor Amateur Opens and came from behind to snatch the Jakarta Juniors crown recently, will also see action in the Junior World in San Diego July 15-18.
