BEST volley clinic attracts big field

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Hundreds of aspiring volleyball players, boys and girls as young as five years old, recently completed their summer training at the country’s pioneer volleyball clinic, BEST Center. The course includes training in the fundamental skills of volleyball like serving, spiking, blocking and footwork.

Gracing the graduation ceremony was former UAAP and national volleyball player Mozzy Ravena, who has been a strong supporter of BEST Center. Being a star athlete herself, Ravena knows too well the importance of having a good foundation in sports.

She also believes that training with the best will always give the players an advantage. In fact, she enrolled her daughter Dani Ravena in BEST Center volleyball clinic at an early age.

The young Ravena now plays for Miriam College and competes in volleyball tournaments like WNCAA.

Through the years, BEST Center has produced a number of the country’s top volley players like Fille Cainglet from the Ateneo Lady Eagles, Michelle Gumabao from De La Salle Lady Spikers, and Princess Gaiser of UP Lady Maroons, who always look back to BEST Center.

BEST Center’s roster of champions clearly mirrors the effectiveness of its program that is based on a scientific method. It has proven that for more than a decade, BEST Center has been producing top caliber players making a very promising and bright future for volleyball. The BEST Center Summer Clinic is sponsored by MILO, a partner in making future volleyball stars in the country.
