D-League games aired on IBC-13
MANILA, Philippines - The PBA Developmental League will have its own TV coveror beginning with the Aspirants Cup on Oct. 28 with games to be shown at primetime on IBC-13.
“We have worked hard to find a network that will not only cover the games but also share our goals and vision for the league,” said PBA commissioner Chito Salud after sealing a two-year coverage contract with Asian Television Content Corp. and Stoplight Media Group.
Salud came through with TV coverage agreement with ATC@IBC president Reynaldo Sanchez and Stoplight Media Group president and chief executive officer Matthew Yngson.
“I’m very grateful to Mr. Sanchez and Mr. Yngson for putting their trust, and believing that the PBA D-League has a lot more to offer than just being a breeding ground for players aspiring to make it to the PBA,” said Salud.
The PBA chieftain said the games will be aired on IBC 13 on a delayed basis from 8 to 11 p.m.
As this developed, Salud is inviting all companies and corporations interested to participate in the coming PBA-DL’s Aspirants Cup. All interested parties have until July 30 to submit their letters of intent.
With NLEX and Blackwater Sports moving over to the PBA, a wide-open race is seen for the coming D-League tourneys.
