Steady Kang, Magsakay top ABC bowling

MANILA, Philippines - William Kang of Consnet Builders overpowered his rivals in Group 1 while Violy Magsakay of Boysen Acrytex topped Group 2 as they led the winners in the Architects Bowling Club’s quarterly championship at E Lanes Center, Ortigas Ave., Greenhills, San Juan City last week.

Kang rolled an eight-game series 1729 to beat Manny Padit of Philflex Wires and Cables (1660), Jimmy Ocampo of Duraflex THW Wires (1578) and Buddy Segui of Matson Builders (1574) in Group 1 of the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Magsakay, on the other hand, assembled 1415 to defeat Ricky Martinez of Coach Furnitures (1408), Abe Firmeza of Philflex Cables (1372) and Sonny Esguerra of Romari Constructions (1371) in Group 2.

The tournament, backed by DN Steel, ES Vidal Builders, PNS Advanced Steel Technology, Goldbridge Neighborhood Dental, Steeltech, Moldex Pipes, Miraga Trading, Morning Sun, Novelle Furnitures, WeKonstruct, Crown Pipes, Glass Asia, Concrete Ventures, Emerald Pipes, Philflex Wires and Cables, Duraflex TW/THHN Wires, Boysen Knoxout/Wallguard/Healthy Homes, resumes at 7 tonight with the staging of No Tap games. It will be followed by the second Quarterly Championship Awards Night, also at E Lanes.
