AKCUPI to stage 2 int’l dog shows

MANILA, Philippines - The Asian Kennel Club Union of the Philippines (AKCUPI) will hold its 60th and 61st International All-Breed Dog Shows on Sunday at Tiendesitas, Pasig City.

The shows will be adjudicated by veteran international dog show judges Il Sub Yoon of Korea and Edgardo Cruz of the Philippines. Titles to be disputed are the Best Baby Puppy, Best Philippine-born and Best in Show categories from seven breed groupings – toy, sporting, hound, terrier, non-sporting, working and herding.

Il, a professor in Caninelogy in Korea, has authored textbooks on dogs, served as adviser at the Agriculture and Forest Ministry and National Veterinary Research and Quarantine Service and is presently an adviser at the Supreme Court in Korea. He had adjudicated dog shows in Malaysia, Korea and the Philippines.
