Tupperware teams up with Palarong Pambansa

MANILA, Philippines - Tupperware Brands Philippines, the country’s leading direct-selling company, has partnered with Palarong Pambansa 2014 in promoting sportsmanship and healthy living among Filipino student-athletes through its flagship brand, Tupperware.

Palarong Pambansa, the biggest annual sporting event for youth, was held at the Laguna Sports Complex in Brgy. Bubukal, Sta. Cruz, Laguna. It assembled the most promising student-athletes from 17 regions of the Philippines who competed in various sports.

As a platinum sponsor of the event, Tupperware handed more than 5,000 pieces of tumblers to select players. The durable tumblers bear the image of the Philippine flag and feature liquid-tight seal and easy-open spout to provide on-the-go convenience for the participants. The brand also awarded representatives from NCR, the overall champion of the event, with special gift packs during the closing ceremony.

Perry Mogar, president and general manager of Tupperware Brands Philippines, trusts that the tumblers will be of great use to the athletes, not only in serving as a secure storage container for their rehydration needs but also in inspiring them with pride and patriotism to the country with its nationalistic design.

“Tupperware Brands is honored to become part of Palaro. It’s always been the company’s mission to empower people and communities. We hope that our products will help support young athletes in achieving their goals,” said Mogar.

The tie-up between Tupperware Brands and Palaro is a testament to the fact that health and sports go hand-in-hand. While sports activities help people stay in good physical shape, optimal health and well-being also contributes to impressive sports performance. In this light, Tupperware Brands commits to continuously develop products that keep food and liquids safe from contamination, thereby making Filipinos hale and hearty and competent to pursue various sports and other physical activities.
