Sia rules Circuit Showdown

MANILA, Philippines - Ferdie Sia topped Brackets A and R to lead the list of winners in the fourth leg of the BMC Air Filter Circuit Showdown at the Batangas Racing Circuit in Rosario, Batangas recently.

Paolo Lofamia, Robert Tan, Ton Ton Ramos, Nico Canete, Gabby Sohu, Eduardo Pujol also emerged bracket winners in the event drawing participants from all over the country in their race-prepped cars.

Lofamia won top honors in Bracket G followed closely by Alan Santos with less than a second separating the top two. First timer Stuart Knight came in third.

Bracket F saw Tan finish first, followed by Pio Alberto and Raffy Sohu.

In Bracket E, Ramos took top podium honors followed by Jem Querimit and James Santiago. Bracket D top honors belonged to Canete who beat Marion Mendoza and Ron Valerio. For Bracket C, Sohu was No. 1, finishing ahead of Paul Cusi and Marcus Timbol. 

Pujol led Bracket B with a best lap of 1.58.004, just .004 seconds over the perfect bracket time, leaving Emerson Ocampo and Mark Sy behind with tenths of a second separating the top eight drivers.

Sia was first in Brackets A and R, followed by Miko Maristela and Rafael La O.

In the Toyota 86 / Subaru BRZ Club class, Pauland Dumlao was the fastest GT 86 on track at 1.53.385, followed by Rio Halili and Sassan Moscoso.

The Grid races were full of intense wheel-to-wheel racing action, with Grid D ending with Gab Gavino in first followed by drift king-turned-circuit racer Alex Perez, and Paolo Lofamia.

Grid C had only one breakout off the 15 car grids, bringing new Evo driver Don Chua to the top, followed by Jerico Tiu and Kitz Ferrer. Grid B saw Michael Bryan Co in first, Gerard Loy in second and Eduard Pujol in third. Grid A was won by Grid Race and Time Trials winner Ferdie Sia. Miko Maristela was second and Rafael La O third.
