Judiciary, PNP gun for finals slots in UNTV

MANILA, Philippines - Defending champion Judiciary Magis and runner-up PNP Responders try to seal another championship showdown as they seek separate victories in UNTV Cup Season 2 semifinals today at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

The Magis collide with AFP Cavaliers in the first game at 2:30 p.m. and will be followed by the tussle between the Responders and MMDA Black Wolves at 4 p.m.

PNP and the Magis enjoy the twice to beat advantage against the Black Wolves and Cavaliers as the top two teams after the elimination round.

The Responders have swept their first eight games and are highly favored against the Black Wolves who eliminated Malacañang Patriots in the quarterfinals.

Judiciary, which finished second to the PNP, is expected to grind it out against the Cavaliers, who ended the campaign of Senate Defenders in the quarterfinals.

The Magis will be banking on their big three – Don Camaso, Ariel Capus and John Hall – while the Cavaliers will be leaning on Alvin Zuniga, Jeffrey Quiambao, Wilfredo Casulla and Winston Sergio.
