Lyceum whips foes, boosts semis bids

MANILA, Philippines - Lyceum A and B and Enderun College beat separate rivals to stay in the hunt for semifinal berths in the 20th Fr. Martin Cup summer basketball tournament at San Beda gym in Mendiola recently.

John Zuniga fired 14 points while Jester Ayaay and Raj Elmejrab chipped in 13 markers each for the Pirates-A, who outplayed the National Youth Under-17 team, 84-77, to hike their record to 4-1 in Group B.

The Pirates-B, with Shane Ko and Jeb Bulawan combining for 25 points, trounced the Ateneo-B Blue Eagles, 77-64, for a 5-2 mark as the two Lyceum teams boosted their semis bids in their respective brackets.
