Paduganan, 2 others top Cebuana netfest
MANILA, Philippines - Misamis Oriental’s Auden Aaron Paduganan, Siquijor bet Ellaine Rose Bahonsua and local bet Dawn Albert Uy turned back their respective rivals and pocketed two titles each in the Bohol leg of the Cebuana Lhuillier Age Group Tennis Championship Series recently.
Paduganan beat Jeff Balatero twice to clinch the boys’ 16- and 18-and-under crowns, while Bahonsua foiled local entry Sheena del Adelle Buga, 6-3, 6-1, to bag the girls’ 12-and-under title then held off another Boholano Armida Gumapac, 6-4, 6-3, for the 14-and-U diadem in the event hosted by Carmen Tennis Club and backed by Mayor Rodrigo Torribio.
Uy, on the other hand, trounced Ferlyn Marisol, 6-1, 6-1, to snare the girls’ 16-and-U crown then overpowered sister Katrina Faye Uy, 6-1, 6-1, to cop the 18-and-U crown in the event backed by Dunlop Sport.
Multi-titled Duma Hakim Boloto outlasted Clyde Mari Casino, 6-4, 7-5, to rule the boys’ 14-and-U class while Zachary Jon Panganiban beat Justin Yepis, 6-3, 6-3, to top the boys’ 12-and-U section.
