FDG Cup braces for grand 11th season

MANILA, Philippines - The FDG Cup, which gathers the cream of the country’s badminton crop, the rising stars, the top celebrities and a couple of international stars, gears up for another banner edition next month with a promise of another action-packed competition following its milestone 10th season last year.

Organizers of the annual event have stretched the three-day event to a four-day affair set June 14-15 and June 20-21 with the centerpiece men’s, women’s and mixed Open doubles for the elite players to go along with the Partners Cup featuring employees and business partners of the Robinsons Land Corp.

National team players and pool members are expected to headline the stellar field in the Open division of the event held in honor of RLC president Frederick D. Go, a badminton enthusiast and one of the top supporters of the sport.
