Top entries compete in NCA six-cock derby

MANILA, Philippines - The National Cockers Alliance stages another six-cock derby today featuring the top entries from the country’s top cockfighters at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Hosted by Edwin Tose, Tonton Uy, James Uy, Jun Topacio, Jap Atienza and JR Tolentino, the event will pit the entries of guests Bobby Go, Mulong, Gov. Plaza, Habagat and Romy Lim against those of the leading NCA members.

The title chase is expected to be fierce with the winner boosting its bid in the race for NCA Cocker of the Year honors.

Jimafer BG of Efren Canlas and Jimafer heads the race with 42 1/2 points.

Pasay City of Eric dela Rosa and Butchoy is in second with 42 points followed by Sagupaan of Rep. Patrick Antonio with 37 1/2 points.

Others in the hunt in the event, sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor, are SF Blue Quartz 2 of Bebot Uy and Jun Soriano and Lucky Money RM of Rene Medina with 37 points each.
