1st Dominican Invitational League set to open

MANILA, Philippines - The first Dominican Invitational League fires off tomorrow with a big field expected to see action at the Blessed Antonio Varona gym in Letran in Intramuros.

The league is open for boys born in 2001 (13-under division) and 2003 (11-under division) and who are officially enrolled in their respective schools for academic years 2013-2014.

Games are set every Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Format is double round robin with the top two teams disputing the crown.

Colegio de San Juan de Letran, St. Stephen High School and Chiang Kai Shek College head the roster that includes Colegio de San Agustin and Philadelphia High School for 13-under division; and Letran, CKS, CSA A and B for 11-under division.

The event is organized by Letran’s Athletics Office headed by Fr. Victor Calvo, O.P. in coordination with its Basic Education Department headed by the principal, Asst. Prof. Felipe dela Cruz. For details, contact coach RJ Guevarra at 5277693 to 97.
