Salamat, Esguerra top ABC quarterly

MANILA, Philippines - Rod Salamat of Goldbridge Neighborhood Dental stamped his class in Group 1 while Sonny Esguerra of Romari Constructions dominated Group 2 as they led the winners in the Architects Bowling Club’s quarterly championship at E Lanes Center, Ortigas Ave., Greenhills, San Juan City last week.

Salamat rolled an eight-game series of 1827 to beat Joan Mendoza of Boysen Acrytex (1733), Buddy Segui of Duraflex TW Wires (1678), and Ryan Jalandoon of E.S. Vidal Builders (1663) in Group 1 of the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Esguerra, on the other hand, scored 1487 to cop the Group 2 plum over Ricky Martinez of Consnet Builders (1451), Abe Firmeza of Novelle Furnitures (1428) and Zeny Prudente of Moldex Pipes (1422) in Group 2.

Meanwhile, the event, backed by DN Steel, PNS Advanced Steel Tech, Coach Furnitures, Steeltech, Crown Pipes, Miraga Trading, Glass Asia, WeKonstruct, Concrete Ventures, Emerald Pipes, Duraflex THHN/THW Wires, Morning Sun, Boysen Knoxout/ Wallguard/Healthy Homes, Philflex Wires and Cables and Nation Paints, resumes at 5 p.m. today with the staging of anniversary tournament to be followed by the quarterly awards night, also at E Lanes.
