From Caloocan City, various legs will also be held at the Penthouse Gym of the Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall in Cainta, Rizal (April 5) and the Divine Light Academy along Zapote-Alabang Road (April 9).

The Spalding Basketball Camps are being run by The Hoops School, a basketball school founded by former Philippine Basketball League commissioner Charlie Favis and the late legendary PBA import Bobby Parks Sr.

It hopes to impart fundamental basketball skills to kids 6-to-17 years-old as it is comprise of three program levels (basic, intermediate, and advance) to fit the skill levels of enrolling students.

Camps are also going to be staged at the Ynares Sports Arena or Gatorade Hoops Center along Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City (April 24), Tutuban Mall in Manila (April 25), St. Vincent’s Seminary along Tandang Sora, Quezon City (April 30), Lyceum of Alabang (April 28), Center for Children’s Well Being in Caloocan City (April 24) and San Andres Complex in Malate (May 3).

World-class instructions from experienced coaches and trainers backed up by instructional videos are being offered in the camps, while students on the advance level will use NOAH, a computerized shooting analyzer with built-in camera that provides instant information to analyze and improve the students’ shooting abilities.

A P2,000 enrollment fee entitles each student with a comprehensive seven two-hour sessions, a Spalding basketball, Spalding jersey, Spalding bag, and sports bottle.

This year the Bobby Parks Medal of Excellence and a Spalding basketball would be awarded to the student with the most exceptional performance in each group.
